![]() The completion of the Trans Canada Trail - or the Great Trail - has been a Canadian dream for 25 years. The last piece of this amazing project was recently put into place in Moosejaw, where a pedestrian bridge finally connected the last remaining gap. The trail is over 24,000 km and links the entire country, from ocean to ocean. One of the great features of the trail is that you can pick it up from almost any point - including right here in Princeton. The trail runs right behind us here at West Coast Sporting Goods. The trail is perfect for ATV and off-roading excursions. This interesting article, however, cautions against getting too excited just yet - especially concerning cycling. Although the entire route is now technically "connected," the trail is apparently still far from being "completed." ‘Once you start building trails, you’re never finished,’ said Holly Woodill of Nova Scotia, ‘We’re 100 per cent connected, but 100 per cent completed, never. This is a great trail. Every trail is a great trail, but this one happens to be the biggest trail in the world, the longest trail, and the most diverse.’ Still, even now, the trail represents an amazing achievement and is already one of our nation's biggest tourist attractions.
